The black streaks on those roofs are organic growth, a roof algae called Gloeocapsa magma. The method
Soft wash only. Never high pressure.

That is why a roof should get a soft wash: a low-pressure cleaning solution that kills the algae, moss, and lichen instead of blasting at the stains they leave.
Because the treatment attacks the growth itself, the roof does not just look better, it stays cleaner longer than a surface-level rinse could manage. A soft wash keeps working after it goes on, killing the growth over days and weeks while the weather carries the dead material off.
