Solar panel maintenance done wrong costs more than dirty glass, so the cleaning follows manufacturer-approved methods, every job:
- Visual inspection of every panel. Broken glass, cracked cells, failed seals: if we find a problem, we address it with you before any work starts. Damage questions go to your solar installer; nobody should pay to have a damaged panel washed.
- Deionized water only. Granite Bay tap water dries into water spots and hard-water residue. Deionized water dries spot-free with zero mineral film. No soaps, no detergents, nothing that clouds the glass.
- Soft brushes on a water-fed pole. A soft wash for glass: no abrasive pads, which cause the micro-scratches that permanently scatter light.

Where we work from depends on your array. When we can reach the panels safely from the ground, we do. On two-story homes and most rooftop systems the crew gets on the roof, because that is the safer and more thorough way to do the job, and roof safety is part of what you are hiring out. Steep roof pitch or tight access moves a job into the +20% tier, quoted before we arrive. Either way, we never step on the panels themselves, and we never use pressure washing on solar panels; we own the pressure washers, and we know exactly what they do to a panel seal. That keeps your warranty compliance intact.

Big lots, big systems
Large arrays are our favorite kind
Granite Bay's larger lots and larger homes often come with larger arrays, sized for the square footage and the summer cooling bills that come with it. A big array raises the stakes in both directions: soiling costs more per month because there is more production to lose, and a cleaning recovers more for the same reason.
Larger systems also mean more panel rows in more roof planes, which is why the inspect-first step matters here. Different planes soil at different rates; the row under the oak limb looks nothing like the row facing open sky. We clean the whole array to one standard and flag anything that looks off, panel by panel, before work starts.
