The Rocklin problem
Why Rocklin panels get dirty faster than you think
Rocklin sits in a dust bowl from June through September. No rain for months, dry heat, pollen off the oaks, bird droppings under the flight lines, and traffic film drifting off Interstate 80. Late summer adds wildfire ash, which is the worst of the bunch because it is fine, sticky, and slightly alkaline. Every layer costs you energy output.
NREL soiling studies measured losses up to 21% on residential arrays in dry climates like ours. Even a modest film trims solar efficiency enough that the cleaning pays for itself; our ROI calculator does that math for your exact system. Photovoltaic panels also lose more to a partial film than most owners expect, because grime concentrated along the bottom edge can drag down a whole string the way shading does.
Sprinkler overspray makes it worse, not better. Rocklin tap water is hard, and it dries into mineral deposits and hard water spots that regular rinsing will not remove.
Our method
Pure water, soft brush, zero shortcuts
Our method is built around pure water filtration. Deionized water has the minerals stripped out, so it lifts dirt and dries spot-free with no residue for new dust to grab. The full solar panel washing process:
- Panel-by-panel solar panel inspection. We look for micro-cracks, chips, and hot spots we can see from the glass side. Anything questionable gets photographed and raised with you first.
- Non-abrasive cleaning. A water-fed pole and soft-bristle brush lift the grime without touching the panel coating.
- Spot-free rinse with deionized water. Pure water filtration strips the minerals out, so the glass dries clean. No harsh chemicals, no soap, ever.
- Streak check. We make sure there's no streaks before we leave. That is the satisfaction guarantee.
We are a pressure washing company by trade, so believe us when we say this: a pressure washer should never touch a solar panel. High pressure cracks cells, forces water past seals, and voids warranties. Warranty compliance is the quiet reason to hire a crew that follows manufacturer methods; your installer's fine print assumes it.

Rocklin roofs
Tile roofs, steep pitches, two-story homes
Rocklin's housing stock is hard on DIY cleaners. Stanford Ranch and Whitney Ranch are full of two-story homes with concrete tile roofs, and tile breaks under foot traffic if you do not know where to step. The newer builds off Sunset Whitney and out toward Sierra College mix in composition shingle roof lines and the occasional flat roof section over a patio.
Roof safety is the reason to hire this out. Our crew works with fall protection on every roof job, carries liability insurance, and knows how to move on tile without cracking it. One note on "licensed and insured": California has no state license for cleaning work, so any company claiming one is puffing. What matters is proof of insurance, and we will show you ours before we set a ladder. This is the Rocklin arm of our solar panel cleaning service; we cover Granite Bay and the rest of Placer County too, including Roseville.
